In the application/config/errors.php file you can set up how Inevy Dispersion handles errors. These settings will be used globally throughout the website and become useful when changing work from offline to online, or during website maintenance.
The project stage can be in 'development' or in 'production'. When in development, all errors, exceptions and debug messages will be printed on screen. In production mode, everything will be hidden and can only be logged to a file. Setting the project stage can be done from the following line:
To have full control over the project and it's stages, it's recommended that you let the framework set it's own settings over the php.ini file, especially when it comes to handling errors. If the php.ini file is used, the framework will retrieve the settings stored in the file in order to display and log errors.
Set the following to true if you want to log your errors to a file.
If log_errors is true, you can specify the file to be used. The ROOT global is used here in order to specify the path to the framework. DS is a directory separator, which in most cases is a slash ( / ). You can leave this empty if you want the framework to use the log file specified in the php.ini file.
